Can anyone recommend a single-player poker game?

I'm looking to practice my poker skills with a decent single-player game. I mostly play Hold-Em, but sometimes other varieties as well. I'd like a reasonably user-friendly program that still has strong AI, but I'm really not looking to spend $89 on the Wilson Software program. Can anyone recommend something good?

Thanks!

Is there a reason why it must be single-player, i.e. normal lack of internet connection? Because there are free multiplayer hold 'em games, like partypoker. Play for fake money. You'll learn faster that way.

Two things: I don't presently have a persistent internet connection, and IMO the fake money tables are less like real play than good AI. In my experience at the fake money tables, the best cards win every single hand, which to me is totally unrealistic.

Well lack of persistent internet connection is a very good reason, but that last comment makes no sense. Best cards always win...

I'm afraid I haven't seen any decent free offline versions.

I don't care if it's free - I just don't want to pay $80.

What I meant in my comment is that at the fake money tables, it's all but impossible to bluff, because people will call when they shouldn't, because they have nothing but fake money at stake. I think this is a crappy way to build skills. In this respect a good AI is better practice.

Ahh yes, I understand. This is less of an issue at bigger tables in partypoker, as going all-in and losing means you can't be at those tables anymore 😛

I hear moneymaker has his own program, but I forgot what it was called. Saw a commercial about it. The guy is a joke, but that's another thread for another time.
