The one where you deposit into it and get a limited card and work your way up to the real one?

I got denied by the Amazon Chase because I have no credit history.

Call your local bank and see what they can offer? Maybe a secured loan that you can make payments on?

I built mine by buying some furniture with 0% interest. I did have to pay most of it cash but the balance was financed at 0%.

Most banks and credit unions will do a secured card. This is likely a good start to a credit history.

http://www.orchardbank.com
http://www.capitalone.com

are a couple unsecured (subprime) cards that MAY approve you with no history. They also have "prequal" apps which will show you if you *would* qualify without actually pulling your credit. I've heard capone is a terrible card though.

Target and Walmart will also open accounts with fairly limited history, though both of those require *something*.

It used to be "Crown Jewelers" would report a credit line of $500-$1500 to all 3 if you only applied and purchased a single item (like a $30 charm or silver necklace), but I don't think they do that anymore.

Ya, Capital One gave me offers in the mail but for that reason I kinda think they're not that great and maybe a low tier? Or does it not really matter since I can just use them to build up my history and get with a better company like Chase later on?
