Can anyone recommend a monitor?

I'm looking for a value, and higher end type. Both must be 19". The value has to be near $300, whereas the higher end has to be under $550.
 
I know that NEC, Sony, and ViewSonic make outstanding products, but I was hoping to hear from experience. Any idea of which ViewSonic model? Are you recommending it because you own it yourself?

viewsonic is ok, but samsung, kds and flatron are better in when it comes to high end models, just my opinion. but the difference is minor as long as they use the same tube. just get anything with NF diamond tron/flatron/FD trini tube. mine is KDS 195TF; never set my eyes upon on a better looking monitor... in fact i got so used to this visual splendor i feel awkward when i stare at another monitor 🙂
