Can anyone recommend a Laser Printer?

look into the toners, some company's have chips in their toners that the printer looks for and the printer will not work with a refilled or refurbished toner only factory new ones so you are locked into the manufacturer's toners and prices. Not sure if brother does this but a few companies do so id make sure to do your research.

Other than that i agree laser is the way to go for longevity, ive had the same color lexmark laser for over 5 years now.

I am looking for a cheap but long lasting Laser Printer.

The one you linked looks good to me.

I've had a Brother HL-2170W for about eight years now, and couldn't be more pleased with it. It just keeps going and going and going. In all that time, I've printed 11,000 pages, replaced the toner 3 times, and it says the drum unit and toner will both be up in about another 900 pages.

At $65 per drum unit, and $47 per toner cartridge, that'll work out to $253 in supplies consumed over 12000 pages, or 2.1 cents per page. Way, way, way cheaper than any inkjet I've ever owned. I also print sporadically, which was a problem with previous inkjet printers I've owned. If you don't print, the print heads dry out, and you have to piss away more ink on head cleanings and hope it works. My last Epson clogged, and ran out of ink during head cleanings, after 150 pages. It would have been $85 to replace the ink, making it cost 57 cents per page -- 27 times the per-page cost of the laser.

I opted to toss it in the dumpster and replace it with the Brother, and have no regrets. On the rare occasion I need to print photos, I just send them to Costco and pick them up. I don't really need color at home. Laser all the way!

I have a Samsung M2830DW, almost 2 years old. Cost $80 at Staples, after a year the original toner (1/4 full 500 prints) was used, spent $80 on a 3000 print toner.

On the off chance that you need a reasonable printer that can likewise duplicate and sweep, the Samsung Xpress M2875DW mono-laser is our most loved alternative. The cost of operation is low, and it's simpler to introduce than a large portion of its rivals

I bought two inkjets 12 years ago and they both still work great. I refill them with refill ink bought from eBay. I have saved $4000 so far in printing cost.
