Can anyone recommend a laptop that does 1600X1200 (or close to it) for less than 1200?

I'm looking for a laptop that can do 1600x1200 or at least very close to it. I'm hoping to find one under 1200 bucks if possible, any recommendations?

I doubt the laptop screens are largh enough yet to support that resolution. But you might want to see the Apple 17 inch ones and see if they support it.

I bought an old dell for my sister which does that resolution I think. (UXGA?) Bought it half a year ago for $5-600. It's not a particularly big screen - maybe 14".

1600X1200 isn't particularly hard to find, but you're more likely to find 1400X1050

I've got a 1400x1050 its pretty sweet. You should be able to find a UXGA screen for under $1200 fairly easily though.

They have a lot of pictures of the WSXGA (1680X1050) screen there to help you ...

It's very easy to assemble a Dell with WUXGA - which is 1600x1200.

If you want a used one, the Inspiron 8000 - 8200 (IIRC) with ~1 GHz P3 are sold on ebay en masse.

Roger that. That's what I have and I couldn't be happier. My eyes never get tired looking at this screen. It's crisp and bright.
