Can anyone recommend a good dehumidifier for cheap?

My windows are starting to get some condensation on them, and using my trusty thermo hygrometer shows relative humidity as between 62-70% in the house

I'm thinking just a portable one for now, but I'm a complete novice in this area, so does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't know about this particular brand, but Newegg is never wrong :p

teh Newegg

Another place to look is Sears. I believe they still sell Kenmore dehumidifiers year round, and I have seen nothing but great reults from Kenmore appliances. Of course this has been many years ago, don't know if this has changed...

i'm very happy with the frigidaire brand I have.

If you go to the lowes website they have quite a fewe you can read about. I highly recommend getting an Energy Star model - the price difference is negligible and you can save on energy costs.

This is usually the wrong time of year to think about dehumidifying.

Don't get me wrong, having too high of humidity in the winter can be bad for your house, but usually winter will bring on much dryer air and most people start to humidify the dry winter air.

That being said,
Costco has a Danby Silhouette model 58-pint dehumidifier for $150 and a 50-pint Whirlpool Basement Dehumidifier for $200 available on its Web site, www.costco.com. Home Depot has a 65-pint Maytag dehumidifier for $239 on its Web site, www.homedepot.com.

I have This one and it works great. I looked online and all the cheap Sears models got mediocre to bad reviews. This Mayteg model got good reviews everywhere I looked.

As I said, the humidity is causing massive condensation on the windows, it looks like I sprayed them with a hose from the inside. I'm at between 55-70% all through the house.

How quickly would it take to fill up 50 pints?
