Viper 791XV is about $180 through Amazon reseller discountjungle - works great. The next model up (check on Directed's website) is supposed to have a longer range, but same features for about $20 more (same seller).

The 791XV is installed on our Camaro project car and works well - the next model up is being installed on our daily driver cars this weekend.

Oh, forgot to mention this has remote start. You can probly save some money and drop down to a 2-way alarm only. The Viper's always work well and are priced reasonably IMO - check out the Amazon seller I mentioned.
