Can anyone recommend a good 15inch LCD monitor for gaming?

I am out of the loop for this and I need a suggestion on what to buy and what would be a good price to pay for such item.

Thanks!

Exactly, Either:

A) Buy a good CRT for the ammount you pay for the 15" LCD

B) Wait until the FFD capable LCD's come out, as they can easily handle fast motion video.

Thats ...you should seriously look more closely at the only FFD paper out... Here...FFD paper ...
Look more carefully....Please read the report properly before you comment....

Look at Table 2 in the report...
Response Time tr+tf =25(Black White), tr,tf<=20(GrayScale Transition).....
Those figures are exactly impresssive......There are already plenty of LCDs out there that can do the above mention...
Any by the way, response time isn't everything.....The accurate reproduction of colour from a LCD is also important and even some of the bigger brands out there haven't got it right yet.......

The comment from PCMarine obviously comes from a individual who doesn't use a LCD monitor...

Yes a 19 inch monitor is good for gaming provided space and weight constraints aren't a issue......but the current crop of LCD displays deliver FFD level perfromance(as suggested by the paper)......

Let me just add to this thread that 30ms response time is *satisfactory* but I think it's still not good enough for gaming.

I tried CS on the Samsung 151s for a rig I built for my cousin it seems like it keeps up with the game, but it has a gritty look to it.

Oh yeah, response time is a good way to judge a LCD's gaming performance. People say >25ms is good, but I've only tired 30ms so far -and I give it the thumbs down.

havent used a lcd myself...but ive played games on a friends 19" crt, and damn, but its great, such a wonderful difference froma 15" screen, got a 17 myself, and i wouldnt dare use something smaller, almost bought a 19 the other day...but car broke down 🙁

I have nothing to contribute, except to brag that I recently got a Dell P1110 21-inch monitor for $240 shipped, and I'm very happy. 😀 I played Q3 on my buddy's 22-inch Apple Cinema Display. Although I dig the CRT look more, I can get used to playing on something like that 22-inch LCD.
