Can anyone recommend a fast and reliable 1TB USB3.0 HDD that doesn't fall asleep?

My WD Elements 1TB USB2.0 falls asleep even if I have set Sleep to Never under the power profile.

Maybe that can be fixed, but I would still like a USB3.0 drive, now that I have a motherboard with USB3.0.

Many external harddisks go into sleep mode even if the above option is selected. And i think the default timing for that is around 10 mins.

@Whitestar127 you can try something like below software for your existing harddisk

NoSleepHD v2.0

NoSleepHD is a simple program which writes an empty text file every few minutes to your external hard disk drive(s) to keep it from going into auto-sleep mode.
