can anyone reccommend a good VIa based socket 754 board?

I'm not really interested in any Nforce based products.

The only thing I'd like the board to have:

3 phase power solution
onboard FIREWIRE
passive nb cooling preferred.

I've done some research myself, and I'm soooo confused!!!

Are you overclocking? If so, you need a board with a working PCI/AGP lock. That means K8T800 Pro boards (only ABIT and Albatron make them for socket 754 processors) or a K8T800 non-Pro with a revised chipset. The only board claiming to support an AGP/PCI lock with it is the Soltek SL-K8TPro-754.

The Albatron, ABIT and Soltek have 3-phase power and passive nb cooling. Only the Soltek has Firewire support.
