Can anyone reccomend a super slick mouse pad?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new mouse pad. One that has a very low coefficient of friction so that the mouse will glide very easy. I use a cordless optical mouse, so it's kind of heavy.

Thanks, Jason

Ps I wasn't sure which forum this went in, so I put it in 2 different ones. Hope that's ok.

my friend bought these dinner-mat type pads at Bed Bath and Beyond, they're pretty big and quite smooth, and they turn out to be an EXCELLENT mousing surface (just make sure the area underneath the pad is flat as hell, because you'll feel the bumps)

edit: oh, and best part? they cost 2.99 apiece.

Actually you can use photoshop and use the add-noise function/ gradient fill and print an A4 paper out of that. No joke, that works pretty well as a 'mouse pad'

These seem pretty nice - thanks for the info. Anyone else use these? I am in the market for one as I just got a new mx518 mouse.

I had been using my MS mouse just on my desk surface - wood - and its a little dirty / scratched up now. I guess its time for me to upgrade.

Any other ideas I should look at before I go ahead and order one of these?

I've heard that the flexiglow xRaider is good, and looks nice, as long as your willing to shell out about US$20 for it. Only thing I'd worry about is the fact that it looks a little small.

I like my func 1030. It has a super smooth surface and you can flip it over for a more textured surface.

two options have worked well for me. Large ceramic cutting board (very very smooth, flat, and large), and one of the padded mats that jewlers (in my case is was a gun repair mat) use when displaying merchandise on counters. The mats are firm but large and give me just enough resistance so that i'm not skipping all over the place. I usually keep both "mouse pads" next to computer and depending on what i'm playing, will use alternate pads.

I use a Func 1030 with a Logitech MX510. It's worked exceptionally for well over a year, but now my pad is beginning to get some dull spots due to gaming use. For browsing it would probably last many years.

Mine still works fine, but it's not quite even in its traction, because the middle area has spots that are more slippery... no major issue, though. I'd recommend this mousepad.

The 3M Precise surfaces are good, but only for like... 3 days. They wear out INCREDIBLY fast.

I haven't used a lot of the new generation mousepads, but the Func pad is good.
