Not too big but with plenty of room for everything. I may take it to college so can anyone reccomend one that might help me here? I am looking at this Antec Performance I P160 Silver but it might be too big. Maybe i'm crazy but is there anything smaller that installs this easily (hdd trays, etc.). Or maybe this Antec SUPER LANBOY Silver would be better? The only thing i am worried about on the super lanboy is the airflow and temp: it might get too hot for ocing. I could be crazy here too lol. Thanks in advance!

Last post before bedtime.

I have to say it......Lian Li PC7 B PLUS. The HD tray is easily removed
and can be had for the same price as the unit you show, w/2-120mm fans.

You will not be disapointed.

There will now be 10 ppl telling you to get a P 180 😛

The super lanboy is ok, and the cooling is good (2x120mm fans). Bear in mind that it is the thinnest most flimsy aluminum case on earth (maybe a bit of an exaggeration 🙂 ). It was made to be lite and portable, not sturdy and durable.

The P160 is a nice case. It is much bigger, but sturdier. Also, it has 120mm fans so the cooling is good.

As GalvanizedYankee said, you are going to get bombarded with other recommendations (P180/Armor/Stacker/etc..) My tip is this: only buy a small case if you are really limited for space. A bigger case is worth it in the long run:
  1. room for expansion
    easier to work with
greater cooling potential (larger air volume)

The Thermaltake Armor is recognized as the best case available today. Plus, it is future proof and you'll never need another case for the rest of your life.

😕 What "sources" have been telling you this?

There's no such this as the "best case", but the closest would be the Antec P180 and the CM Stacker.

Anyway, OP, both the P160 and Super Lanboy are good ideas, but I would personally go with the P160.

Why would the P180 and Stacker be the closest to it and not the Armor? The Stacker and the Armor are virtually the same, but the Armor has better features.

1. Can the Armor mount a triple 120mm radiator?
2. Does the Armor have more 120mm fans than the CM Stacker?
3. Is Thermaltake a better company than Cooler Master (by and far)?
4. Has the Armor performed better than the Stacker in reviews (users and experts)?

The correct answers for 1-4 are no 🙂

But if you like the case, more power to you. I just have seen that the Stacker is the preferred full tower case by most people.

I just built a PC with a Lian Li PC7 B plus. First lian li I've seen, but build quality was amazing, easy to install components into, small and VERY smooth looking with drive bezels. Cheap as well (for a lian li!).

here is my advice for what it is worth, i just built system this weekend using this case. i chose it over the P160 like you are looking at. my reasoning was it has more fans and has side panale intakes where the P160 doesn't. plus my case came with a 400 antec power supply which i am selling to get some of my cost back for the case 🙂

Welcome to Anandtech, burntsandwich(gotta laugh out of that name)😛

The Lian Li Mid-Towers are allmost bullet proff. You could stand or sit on it. The only problem
is the 2mm thick aluminum construction in some areas of the case, dictate the use of the
supplied screws, as they are just a touch longer. Put the extras in a zip-lock and tape it
to the inside of the case.
Wasn't going to but will brag on the box. Since you will be transporting your PC, the Lian Li
factory box is double thick cardboard. The end caps that support the case in the box are
fully molded 2" thick tough styrofoam.
If you go LL, you will become much more critical in any future case purchasing decision.

Here are the actual answers to your questions.

1. Yes.
2. It can if you want.
3. Matter of opinion. You appear to be one of two things. Either a CM fanboy, or one of those people who jump on the "Thermaltake sucks" bandwagon just because everyone else says it without even seeing or using their product.
4. Yes.

how so??? Link...website...review???

Personally I just took a long look at the Thermaltake Armor...It cannot take triple 120`s.....
Both the stacker and The Armor are loaded to the teeth with features....
How can you even state which company is better....thats a goofy statement!
There really is noway to prove or disprove which case has faired better in reviews...
Especially when you take into account human error and preconceived ideas...etc...

So why argue over which case is best?
Thats all personnal conjecture!
