Can Anyone Quickly Confirm My 9800 Pro Specs?

Hey all,

Just have a quick question for anyone who's got a good eye for ATI cards. I have a 9800 Pro (128MB) that I'm trying to sell but I'm not sure of whether the RAM is 128 or 256Bit. It's R350 Core which I thought meant 128 but I also heard that since the RAM is in an L-Shape configuration it is 256... Can anyone give me a definitive answer? Thanks ,

Yeah I read about using ATITool but I was hoping someone could give me an answer without me having to install the card in my computer again. (I have a 6800GT installed currently )

R350 core does not mean 128-bit. All it means is it's the original revision Radeon 9800 Pro core, as opposed to the R360 core, which is the slightly tweaked core used on the 9800 XT (and thus it's a bit of a better overclocker).

If your card is a 9800 Pro, and not a 9800SE, chances are it's a 256-bit card. If your PC identifies it as a 9800 Pro, I'm 99% sure it's 256-bit.

If you want absolute proof, check benchmarks (ie 3dmark 2003).

Did it come in a blue box? 256bits come in green boxes

Put it in your rig, get latest cat drivers, and run 3dmark 03, you should be getting around 5000+ with it if it is 256 bit.

The 128bit 9800"pro" cards are a fairly recently introduced item. They only started showing up 6 or 8 months ago, I believe. If you've had the card a while it's likely 256bit.
