Can anyone point me in the direction of a good freight hauler?

Sold several rackmount network switches in a lot. Should be about 550 - 600 lbs (with skid). Fedex LTL quoted me at ~$930. I got similar or higher numbers from some other carriers... I got a tentative quote from ebay for around $600... I can pay $1000 and still make some OK money, but I want this as cheap as possible. I plan on getting insurance as well through a 3rd party.

Can anyone point me to a good carrier that will offer reasonable rates? Shipping Washington DC to Chicago area if that helps..... lol

I've had a pallet shipped with Conway in the past and it was inexpensive, but nowhere near the weight you're mentioning.
