Can anyone please tell me about GRE?

I've just recently started thinking about possibly pursuing graduate school. I'm just now reading about the GRE. I'd like to hear about it from people who've taken it. I guess I'm just interested in your general experience, whether or not you prepared for it (and how?), how difficult you found it to be, etc.

It's similar to the SAT. I prepared for it the same that I did for the SAT -- I just took the trial exam in the pamplet.
 
Yeah, I kinda figured that out, it's like SAT or ACT for college students. Care to elaborate further? 🙂
 
I took the GMAT, but I'm not sure how similar that is to the GRE. I took a free practice exam and tips seminar from Kaplan which they offer once a quarter on my campus at UC Irvine. After i saw the results for the practice test, i enrolled in their program to try to improve on the score. There are other programs out there. Just see your counselor.
 
It's been a long time -- all I remember was that I thought the questions were the same type of questions I had when I took the SATs.
