I know they have been having major issues with the Sebilis and Antonia Bayle servers since Ruins of Kunark. That should not stop you from running the patcher though.
I recall seeing yesterday that Eq2players would be undergoing maintenance today.
If you have Vista, right click and run the patcher as admin, that might work.
Funny enough if you download the EQMAP program from www.eq2interface.com, it modifies the maps in game and patches like EQ2 does, but the program also launches the EQ2 patcher. For some reason when running through EQMAPS the EQ2 patcher works. Don't ask me.
