800 MHZ Athlon on Asus A7V with 3Com network card installed takes forever to boot and locks up when restarting. This problem only occurs with the network card installed. Without the network card the computer is compleetly stable. I have downloaded the newest drivers but was no help.
 
Long boot times are often a symptom of the card looking for a DHCP server, which is the default TCP/IP setup for a new card. If you're not connected to a network with a DHCP server, enter a static IP and that should speed up boot times. System instability may be caused by an IRQ conflict. Try installing the card in another PCI slot.

Also, there are some very isolated issues with A7V's and 3com 3c905Bs that I've run into that were fixable with a BIOS flash, but as always, that's a last-resort solution...
