I'm finishing up my A64-M setup right now but I'm trying to figure out how to finish off the build. The HTT is overclocked from 200x10 to 230x10, and I want to run the system on a 1:1. HOWEVER, I'm using a mobo that will not allow me to change the voltage going to the memory (ASRock K8S8X), so should I aim for PC3700 (233MHz I think...) memory if I want to achieve this 1:1, or will I not be able to reach it w/o changing the voltage (capped at 2.65v I believe) Also, if the PC3700 WILL work, will I have to change anything about it to get it to run at the correct speed right off the bat?

Also, is Kingston Hyper-X PC3700 with 3-4-4-8 1T good RAM, or should I look elsewhere (OCZ Gold Rev. 3 is like $50 more...which I'd like to avoid if at all possible. It's supported voltage is also 2.8v, which I can't hit...would that hinder me?)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

That read is here ----->

My head is here :)

It's a bit above my head...but I think I may have gotten the general gist of things.

Hrm, so he thinks the 233MHz HTT is unstable. But the guy I bought it from said he had no stablility problems running it 5:6 HTT/RAM. So once again back to my question, with the HTT and multiplier set at 230x10 (up from 200x10) what type of RAM should I get to achieve a 1:1? Any personal thoughts on the matter? Do I have to lower the HTT speed to do this? Is there a way to keep the HTT at 230 w/o affecting the RAM?

Basically, what my noobile ears are hoping to hear is that I have the ability to leave the HTT at 230MHz and buy some RAM (which I why I thought PC3700 since it's rated just above 230MHz), throw it on, and have it running at 1:1 with as little modification as possible. Is that possible, or just an unatainable dream??

Yeah, I'm new to the whole overclocking scene...but I'm trying to learn!

Thanks for putting up with meh peeps!
