Remove the SIM card from inside the cell phone - this will probably involve removing the battery, but nothing more than that. Put the battery back in and power up the cell phone without the SIM card. It should pretty much just sit there with a blank screen, but allow numbers to be inputted.

Enter the entire code above. To input "p", just press "*" three times within one second. To input "w" press "*" four times within one second.

NOTE: These were calculated based on the assumption that your MCC+MNC code is 31017. Known unlockable Nokia cell phones with this method: 3510, 3510i, 3585, 3590, 3595, 3600, 3650, 5100, 6100, 6220, 6310, 6310i, 6340i, 6500, 6510, 6590, 6610, 6650, 6800, 7210 ,7250, 7650, 8310, 8390, 8910, 8910i, 9210i.

yllus: before I make an attempt on unlocking with the given code(s) what is the MCC+MNC code you are talking about? How would I confirm this?

The MCC code is basically the country code - it's going to be 310, that much is confirmed. I'm just not 100% on what the MNC code is for Cingular. What I have provided is "Cingular - Pacific Bell Wireless = 17". That equals a code of 31017.

most phones will only give you a certin amount of tries before they lock up and becoem useless.....so make sure you know what your doing and not just entering numbers at random.
