I agree with magomago. Not a big fan of the post noise reduction photo.

Also, fuzzybabybunny did a great job on removing the folds but I'd still use a little burn and dodge in Photoshop to even out where the light and dark patches on the photo are. Granted if you're really looking close enough to discern the light and dark patches running along the photo you'll also notice a bit of artifacts left over from the fixes fuzzy put in.

Either way, the after photo is much much better looking. Good thing none of the creases were on a face. I had to fix an old black and white photo of my grandfather that was badly damaged. Part of the damage was a section of the face where a crease caused a piece of the photo to flake off. Any abnormality is easily noticed compared to just fixing backgrounds and stuff.

This reminds me I need to start scanning all of my old photos. Some of the pictures I have are missing the original negatives so if I lose them then they're gone.

I don't have any noise reduction software so someone feel free to take it from here.

ok how'd you do that?

I didn't do that great a job. Just used the spot healing tool in some places and the clone stamp tool in others. There was one crease I left in there because it looked like a tree - sometimes you can cut your work by cloning in a way that fools the human eye. Likewise the white bag that the kid on the left is holding has a photo crease, but it looks like a fold on the plastic bag. Burned part of that kid's arm to make it darker to match the rest of his arm.

The pumpkin was just careful cloning.

I missed a spot though - a white looking tear up on the house right in the middle of the photo. And still a few scratches here and there.
