For whatever reason, after countless Googling, reading forums such as AndroidForums and XDA-Developers, it just not clicking in my brain as to how to how to put CM7 on a microSD card for my Nook Color.

I do not want to root the Nook Color, I just want to be able to boot off microSD card into CM7 so I keep the regular Nook Color install on the internal memory.

If anyone has a link to easy step by step instructions or wouldn't mind PM'ing me, I would be very grateful. I have OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 environments so I don't care which one the instructions are for.

Thanks!

Yeah its going to be slow unless you got a very nice SD card. Class 6

Well got it up and running successfully. I'm impressed with the performance. I bought a 8 Gb SanDisk Class 4 card. That's the most recommended card from what I've read. When CM9 advances a bit more, I'll probably put that right on the internal memory.

Watch out for the "sleep of death" issue on the nook color. I've gone through several roms and most had this problem with mine. I have one now that works great but I can't remember the rom name. I think the newer CM7 nightlies have the SOD fix built in, but you might not get this fix if you installed 7.1.

Edit: Here's the rom I'm running on the NC. It seems to fix the SOD issue for me. The NC is a great little (very cheap) tablet with this rom. It can be installed over CM7 without a full wipe.
