shuttle SB51G case/mobo/powersupply

latest bios/drivers/etc

locks up as soon as UT2003 starts. after a minute uit then reboots. it also did this with the windows XP 3d screensaver.

I just ran through 3 cycles of sisoft sandra burn in wizard. no problems. What else can I try?

Have you tried running dxdiag and see if it crashes? It could be a directx problem.

Start......Run......Dxdiag...... Run thru the tests.

You have got to be kidding me. :Q

200 watts is not even close to being able to power a 9700 Pro combined with a high-end P4/TBred system.

It's your power supply dude and you're wasting your time until you upgrade it.

Have u tried to run 3dmark? If that locks up, as it seems anything else that stresses 3d does, then I would bet it is a PSU issue. Just get a 300 watt, and keep the 200 solely for the vid card...trust me, that thing sucks so much juice it is ridiculous.

Best advice I can give you is get at least a 300w, 350w would be nice since they are just as cheap as 300w PSUs ,make sure it`s a quality brand like Antec,Sparkle,Enermax etc.

can't get a 300 watt. this is a SFF box, w/ proprietary power supply. :(

I'll try 3dmark. I wonder it the 9500 needs as much power

did 3dmark

got 12251 the first time

got 8814 with all settings to their highest. I was able to run UT2003 using the older drivers. I'm going to keep playing with it.
