i believe the song is by bob dylan. the lyrics are mostly one word at a time, just like a list of words kinda. the video is either in black and white or pretty faded colors. throughout the whole video theres a person holding up flashcards or posters or something with the lyrics on them (each poster has just one word). they just flip through them throughout the whole video. god this is driving me nuts. i dont know the name of the song and its hard to look up because bob dylan's discography is huge. cant find out any info about the video from mtv of course.....
 
Weird, I was looking for this the other day too. Not sure what made me think of it. It's on Kazaa conveniently enough.

btw INXS paid homage to it in one of their videos, as did Weird Al. 😛
