can anyone help find my car's lien holder?

If the car you bought was actually a classic, or sexy, or good looking or in great shape, maybe we'd be motivated to say nice things. But it's an old 95 camaro with the wrong paint and a v6. My friend had a 95 z28 and even brand new that car was a perfect example of shoddy quality from GM in the 90s. They called it a poor man's Vette and the v6 a poor man's Camaro.

same way i always make money.. find some work..
sell of the sound system i have in the camaro.
sell other stuff ive got that i have no need to keep.

how else does one make money?🙄

You live in MS, figured you might just crank up the still and make a little shine.

This was an enjoyable thread to read. I wish I could upvote it. I was captivated for all ~2ish pages...I didn't want it to end.

nah im totally good on that one, i love how all you guys can do is just talk shit about something and youve never seen it in person or even know whats done to it.

ya'll can keep talkin all the crap you wanna talk i'm out this thread.

why bother removing a pic i uploaded for public eyes?
and its worth $3-4k once im done(check kbb/nada) and i wont have more than 1k invested( including the $500 i gotta pay the dealer)when im done with the paint

You have not stated what you originally paid for the vehicle (when you received the forged bill of sale).
KBB shows the vehicle in good condition is worth no more than $2500

if you do not have the $500 to pay off the vehicle or $30 for a car fax; how are you going to pay for the next tank of gas needed to find work?

The sound system on the vehicle is probably factory OEM (worthless)

In a couple of months, that vehicle will be sitting in the yard because the tank is dry.

You will not be able to sell it because you do not have a clear title.

How are you going to put insurance on it? Costs will be high because there is a lien on the title. You will have to have full coverage - may cost as much as the vehicle is worth given that you seem to be a young (<25) male with a vehicle that is "sports car" classified.

Or run without insurance?

You can sell it for scrap metal. No title needed in MS to sell cars for scrap metal if cars is 10 years old or older. This law was created to get rid of all the abandoned Hurricane Katrina cars.

i got the $2500 for it today. thanks

eaglekeeper tell me, why do i HAVE to have full coverage?

i do have other vehicles.. the van and the red jeep -_-

oh and it was not factory sound.
it had sony cd player, 10-disc cd changer, 1000w amp and 15" kicker sub and (4) Polk Audio 6 1/2" that replaced the factory door speakers.

and kbb shows more than $2500..

anyways car sold this morning and buyer will have his title tomorrow.

When you have a lien on the vehicle, the lien holder wants to ensure that the vehicle can be fully repaired or that their interest is covered.

Otherwise, you could walk away from the note and they have no leverage. Repossessed junked cars ha e no real value

that still doesnt tell me why full coverage insurance is needed?

but since you havent said it i guess i will..

you do NOT need full coverage insurance unless your buying a new car from a car lot.

I have never seen a single finance agreement (and your vehicle *is* financed) that did not place a requirement for full insurance coverage on the vehicle and proof thereof (in the absence of, the lien-holder typically is allowed to raise the payment amount to cover their insurance costs on the asset). It has no relation to the age of the vehicle.

As evidenced by your non-purchase of this vehicle (nice way of saying as evidenced by your gullibility in the scam), you really don't understand much about vehicle purchasing. What makes you think you understand this component?

Whomever holds the note wants their investment protected. I explained why.

Have you ever financed a vehicle?

Is the buyer aware that you do not have a clean title to the vehicle. Did you disclose the lien?

It's far more likely that he's just trying to save eface than he's actually sold that thing for $2500.

agreed.

it does not make sense at all.

i still don't buy the dealer who has the lien on it for $500 will take just $500. makes zero business sense. they are losing money doing that.

then all the sudden he sales it for the amount people in the thread are talking about?

why did he buy it in the first place?

Not like the OP is the only idiot out there looking to buy a camaro so I guess it's possible.

You apparently don't read well. The lien holder on a car generally requires full coverage.

only if your the one being financed yes.. but its not a must if its from a used sales car lot.

yes i told the buyer about the lien, $500 of the $2500 i got went to jamie today and he will be over nighting the lien release and original title to the new owner.

because $2500 is what i was asking in the first place.
the whole reason i needed to get the title back was so i could sell it but the new owner talked with jamie the lien holder and was okay with doing the sale.

@waggy
what do you mean, what you said makes no sense at all.
if someone only owes $500 to get the title how are you going to sit there and ask for more money? that itself makes no sense.

because i bought the car to fix and resell it considering i only had $460 in the car so to turn around and make $1500 profit, of course.. who wouldnt

A used car dealer/lot will provide financing.

All they do is process paperwork for another lender.
They still want a guarantee that if the vehicle is damaged; they will get paid first.

That is what the full coverage does; ensure that the value of the note is covered in case the car is no longer valuable enough to cover the note.

Stop by any used car lot that offers financing and ask what type of insurance coverage they require on financed vehicles?

Because you did not answer my question if you ever financed a vehicle via a business; I suspect that answer is that you have not. Otherwise you would know the situation on insurance coverage.

i was going to explain it but i suspect you wouldn't understand. frankly it's not worth my time to try.

reason i'm basing that on? easy you can't even grasp the reason why you would need full coverage insurance with a lien on the title.

edit: just curious. OP do you think you should inflate a tire to sidewall pressure or what the car manufacture recommends?
