Can anyone give some info on Making mp3 ringtones??

I just got a new phone (samsung sgh-d357) and I was wondering if I could make my own mp3 ringtones and if so how would I go about this task? Thanks.

I use the free trial of this. http://www.cooolsoft.com/mp3cut.htm

pick what part of the song you want as a ring tone, and encode it at a lower bit-rate to save space on the phone.

It all depends on if your phone cna be connected to the computer. If so you probably need some program equivalent to p2kman for the RAZR.

you dont actually need to connect to the computer to get a ring into your phone, you can also upload to a site and download from your phone
