I have a Tyan Trinity 400 mobo with a Celery II 566 on an msi slocket II. I can run this thing beautifully at 850 w/1.60 volts.. but When I try to go any higher, it will recognize the cpu as the higher speed but will not do anything. It just sticks at the boot screen right after it recognizes the cpu..

Can anyone help me out here???

thanks
mike

You've probably reached the limit of your CPU. Try upping the voltage a bit, maybe that'll give it the juice it needs to get past the boot screen.

I had a 566 that would run perfectly at 850 with 1.65 volts. It would fault within ten minutes if I upped the bus speed to 105MHz no matter how high the voltage(1.95 was the highest I tried). You probably have a 850MHz cpu. That's pretty good for the price of a 566.
