Can anyone explain to me what my problem with Radeon LE is called?

I got a Radeon LE with TV out several weeks ago to replace my old Permedia 2 card, but I have been had this problem since yhrn. My screen is kind of shaking and moving, especially if I focus my eyes on the edges of the screen, and I can notice some shining or flickering of the monitor as well. Another weird problem is, the distance between the very top and bottom of the screen seems change. Whenever I turn on my PC, it is first kind of shorter and then gradually become longer after like 30 mins.

I saw some guys were talking about the shimmering problem on Trinitron monitors, I am using a Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 17 inch, which is also a Trinitron-type one, so am I experiencing the same problem? At least I want to know what my problem called before I can go to look for solutions.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

BTW I am running newly installed Win2K Pro on Abit KT7a-RAID, using VIA 4in1 4.31 and Radeon 5.13.3205 drivers.

Whats your refresh rate & your resolution set at?

Have you tried "RadeonTweaker". There are some settings in the program that you can use for the "shimmering" problem. I have a SONY monitor and playing with various settings improved the display (although it was never really bad to begin with). You can get RadeonTweaker at www.rage3d.com. Also the forums at that site are a good source of info for radeons.

i have this "shaky" 2D problem with my new Iwill kk266 with a voodoo3 200 PCI card. I thought it was my video card that is going bad. Did you do the Wcprset 52 EB hack to lower your cpu temp? I read it somewhere that this shakiness was cause by that. But frankly, I saw the shaky screen before I start changing the registry. let me know if you find the cause of this problem!
