Can anyone explain something in this Nov. 29th SETI Newsletter?

I did not quit.
My signature was the longest one and I just shortend it up so it would not make lists of names so wide.

EDIT:
It used to say Team AnandTech Rules!!!
Now it just says Team AnandTech

Now the longest name is "Ken Hoffmeister - Join Team AnandTech"
 
Heh. If you want to see the effect a REALLY long name can have, go to the Sun Microsystems team and scroll down near the bottom.. 😀
