can you get past that language and country selection screen on www.slingbox.com using firefox on a PC

http://www.slingbox.com

Choose your Location and Language. None of the links work. can't get away from this page.

I hope many people come to this thread searching for sling and their problems, browsers like firefox, central servers that control the login to your account before you can log in to your own personal slingbox, unless you use software 1.5 which is useless for all but the basic old slingbox editions,

Slingmedia and their support is such garbage. what a waste of a great product to be run by such a incompetent company. It's just one outage after another and they don't support a direct pc to slingbox connection but instead force everyone through their central servers which is intermittent ever since they "supposedly" moved datacenters. Their forums are heavily censored and posts after posts of problems get deleted in order to protect their image.

this is why other products like Hava is getting more popular and slingbox continues their decline. I'm surprised their webplayer doesnt have ads and spyware yet the way this company is heading.

there needs to be a complete disconnect from the company. Once you buy the product, it should be a direct connection between your computer and your slingbox. Or spend a little more money on their engineer.

Imagine WOW or Battle.net central servers was like slingbox service? There would be outrage across the web instead of a measly post here and there complaining of issues from the old school users stupid enough to buy a slingbox instead of other products such as HAVA, Monsoon Vulkano, Kworld and others.

edit: thanks for confirming it works on a mac. Slingbox is anti-Apple though. Not that there's enough of you guys to make them give a damn. :D

edit: they quietly fixed it because it works nowadays and also the forum threads have all ceased complaining about it.
