Can anybody tell me what the functional temperature range is for NFC coatings?

I'm talking about near-frictionless carbon films. At which temperatures does this material lose its properties?

this doesn't answer your question but according to:

linky

it's good up to at least 440° C.

"An NFC film coating was applied to the radial journal and thrust air bearings of a turbocompressor, a component that experiences numerous stop/start cycles. Frictional force on the 440° C steel material was reduced by four times, and the linear wear rate was reduced by two orders of magnitude."

In that case it's probably good over 700 degrees Celcius. Turbocompressors can get superhot.
