I have these khaki (beige) pants, and I wore them out, and they have this one really big stain on the bottom. I don't know what the hell it is, but it happens everytime I wear pants out to bars/clubs. EVERYTIME I wear nice beige pants out, this always happens. I washed them, and used OxyClean on them. Nothing, nada. I've wasted enough pants this way, and it's gotta stop.

Anyone have any secret product that they can reccomend that can be easily purchased at a WalMart or something?

Or any little home remedy concoctions you can reccomend????

Thanx.

Oxyclean is usually the winner.
Shout works on fresh stains
Or take them to the cleaners.

Did you happen to read the Savage Love article last week on the Santorum stains?

I don't get it.

In test after test, Oxyclean is usually quite near the bottom at removing stains. Yes it gets out iodine quite well, but when was the last time you spilled iodine on yourself?

Consumer Reports tests detergents every 2 years or so. Tide with Bleach currently has the record for getting out the most number of stains. But nothing gets everything out - meaning you might have to try several completely different methods.

I've heard vinegar a lot, but it has never worked for me on any stain.

whatever you do, dont dry them until you know they are clean.

take them to the cleaners, or to someone with a really nice washing machine. The new machines can get out any stain without even trying.

Long time ago when I worked construction we used a graphite based grease to help with the removal of bolts to hold forms together for concrete walls. That was the nastiest stuff ever. Wisk took the stains right out with no evidence of the stain after washing. Just pour Wisk right on the stain and let sit a few minutes and wash.

Oxyclean is usually the winner.
I bought a tub of this stuff and it works about as well as very diluted detergent. I'd say the amount of detergent per water in the washing machine works better. I can't believe how ineffective Oxyclean is after Billy Maze gave me his word.

worked in a factory once and got carbon black all over everything, I used ammonia, and sometimes added vinegar. Worked well. I know when I get greasy hands from working on machinery a little dab of shampoo will get anything off. My mother used a product called gal friday that she got from Watkins products, it would take out ink, lipstick, and about anything else she through at it. I tried it years later and it didn't work as well, guess they changed the fomula.

Try vinegar. Someone here suggested it to me. Seems to work in some cases and it does not do any harm.

Ok, so far I tried:

1) Shampoo (Worked for a lot of blood that got on my clothes a few months back....don't ask, it wasn't mine)
2) OxyClean, I let it absorb for a few hours with warm water after rubbing it in. Then gave it a good wash.
3) Vinegar and Warm Water

And it's still there. Not even showing signs of weakening. Damnit! I might have to admit defeat this time again!!!!

Funk this, I'm gonna go to WalMart tomorrow, and find something.
