Say you have a mobo that supports dual channel and a processor as well. Is there any way that it won't run dual channel?

Is dual channel only when you have 2 ram sticks in? Is there any ram that cant run in dual channel?

You have to have two sticks of ram or four sticks to run Dual chanel as far as if any ram will work I cant realy answer on that, when I bought my p4c800deluxe it was new and so was Dual chanel and best I could rember you had to have matched ram and so that is what I got.

You don't have to use "matched" ram. Two similar sticks will work just fine 99% of the time. The 2 ram modules needs to be the same size (MB), either both single or double sided, and usually the same brand.
