Can any one help me with my case LED?

I just swapped out case leds last night for the power LED. I put in a radio shack 3.7V blue led. The problem is that the led never goes off! I checked the pins on the motherboard, and even tried reversing it. Its either always on, or always off. The only way for it to shut off is to hit the PS kill switch, then after a few seconds it shuts off. How can this be possible? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

hm... are you switching it off right after you power down?... as it seems, you probably have charge left over in the LED and so it will shut off, just may take a little while, if thats not the case, check to see if you have wires crossed, or unwanted shorts... if your wired correctly, and the "power down time" isnt the factor, meaning it stays on for over a few minutes, then i'm as stumped as you are... good luck

I have the RS blue LED's in my Enlight 7237 and they work great. There is one difference in our setips: I used the 5 volt LED's (RS # 276-311). Perhaps someone with a better understanding of basic electric principles can explain if that means anything or not.

Yeah, I would say use the 5v LED , I also have them in my enlight... looks great especially with my blue paint.

And yes, all you should have to do is cut off the old LED and attach a new one. Shouil dwork fine.
