So my wife?s friend, asked me if there was a way to create a document, one page which has some data entry lines, which would be one page.

The form would be used to input specs of equipment needed for a room.

You would have the same form being used multiple times for one job but each form would have different specs on it.

So my question is this....

Could you create a document which would be one page but would also allow you to add more forms within a document (thus keeping it in the same document)

Vs.

Creating multiple separate documents from just one form...

For example, the guy works with cooling and heating so one form is used for that fan...that fan goes in every room of a building...but will have different specs for each room.

He wants to be able to have all the forms be created within one document, so that each time he adds another fan to the document it actually creates a new page in the document.

He can save that one document (which would have multiple pages) and burn them on to a DVD for customers

Also he wants to know if there is a way to make the document read only after it is created.

Any info would be appreciated such as the program that would do this.

If this is too confusing let me know...

Thanks a million

Adobe Acrobat (the Writer, not the free Reader version) allows you to append additional documents to the end of an existing document. Each time you append a new form it would create a new page. Is that what you mean?

There are free versions around (PDF995 I believe is one), though I'm not sure if they have this feature as well.

That is sort of what I mean, let me try to put this a different way....

if I created a document which would be a single page....the functionality I would want is after you complete the form...that you would be able to hit a button or something to add an identical second page to the end of the first page to enable to document to grow indefinately for as many pages that you would want to fill out.

I am not really looking to append multiple documents together into one at the moment...

Currently I think that they fill out one form...(print/save it) and then clear the form and re-enter the next batch of information...

So for example...when they are done the could potentially have 30 seperate documents for one job..

They want one document with 30 identical forms/pages....

Did I explain my goal a little clearer ???

Thanks for replying...
