my room is full of ants and i can't clean it right now, they are slowly making their way towards my comp, and dont want any damage to occur, if they went inside the comp could they cause damage? and can ants carry diseases?

i really doubt they carry diseases. however, i do believe they can cause damage to your comp if they keep moving around in there. or maybe the cpu fan will suck them up. I would get those Raid ant killer stuff and leave it out so they can take the food to their queen and they'll all die

danny~!

haha. Don't worry so much.

Get some bait traps and some other ant repellents and put them around your desk / floor / where ever you see it necessary.

I doubt they would seriously mess up your computer and no they don't carry diseases. Just squish 'em all.

there really aren't any moving parts i see that ants could really f up, don't worry as much about diseases as them crawling into your orifices as you sleep :)

they might clog your cpu/vid card hsf or something, possibly something in your psu. i just wouldn't feel comfortable having an infestation in my case, that's enough for me to do something about it :)

Ants are nasty...just find where they are entering, hit that corner with some raid or something. Then suck up the rest with your vacumn.. Always works for me. They dont dare come back.

Ugh. We've lived in the same apartment for over 3 years now and for some unknown reason we've got ants this year.

The first step was to ignore them, they'll go away. Needless to say that didn't work.

Then we put out bait traps. Completely useless.

Step number three I called the landlord. It's his damn building. He sent the maintenence man over to spray the windowsills (inside and out) and the wall. At this point I'm thinking they'll be gone in the morning.

They weren't. So I head to my local grocery and got the Raid spray for ants (Country Fresh scent). Sprayed really well under the cabinets (beneath the cabinets), under the sink, behind the cabinets, the top and bottom of them as well.

We still have ants.

Short of (bug)bombing our kitchen (where the ants currently reside) is there another solution? We have cats (including a new kitten) so I think this should be a last resort. We're very clean people, there is never exposed food laying around. And we can't determine exactly where they are coming from. I hate them.

Insect problems have been nasty for me, this year too.......maybe it has something to do with the weather...right now a type of water beetle is infesting the pool....i skim at least 5 to 10 out each day.Hammered it with chlorine they just keep coming.
