Can an NFC chip be bought and installed in a phone?

I don't know if you can physically install a chip into a phone. But they do sell phone cases with NFC chips in them.

google wallet will not utilize this as most other payment systems wont either due to lack to security features on the case type ones..
the ones on Androids are tied to the system and the system knows if you tamper with anything including root etc.

NO, just the nfc antenna in the battery! (many people make this mistake)

  • SIM with nfc chip
  • microSD with nfc chip
  • case/cover/adapter with nfc chip
It has its limitations! It's more for payments, not for tag reading/writing.
