Can an iMac be used with a Linksys 4 port router to access the internet?

yessir. dhcp works on an imac as well as pc's

My wife has an Imac & a G3 Mac (she's a school teacher & her school gave them to her).

They both work just fine hooked to my Linksys four port router/switch.
