can an average person tell the differece between DVI/HDMI vs Component

the distance run is ~15 ft
this is to be projected on a Optoma H31 projector.

is it right that HDMI is not suspectable to electrical noise, while component is?

it completely depends on your source and your display and nothing else. try both and see.

if it is a projector you really should run both.

It depends on your source and projector...but Ive run Comcast HDTV to my Infocus 4805 via component and DVI and the difference is significant.

Its at least worth trying out both analog and digital on your set-up IMO especially since your asking the question in the first place.

What they said. Component vs DVI on my cable box makes no difference. Component vs DVI on my HTPC made a huge difference.
