Can an Audigy 2 change key??

I dont see any option with the software that came with it to change the key/pitch of sounds and i find it hard to believe that it isnt capable of doing somthing that my onboard AC97 could do. Is there any way to make it change key, a program that would do it maybe? Googling it only came up with hardware solutions for like DJ's or professionals.
 
Start>Programs>Creative>Audigy 2>so many things to choose from. I think you are looking for the creative wav studio or the creative graphic equalizer. If you didn't get this software because you got your audigy 2 oem like me, you can simply call creative or email them and tell them it came oem and you didn't get the right CD that has all the apps on it. They should ship it to you in a couple of days. Mine came >1 week if I can remember correctly.
 
Ok, i searched through all the fancy toys and found like.. an onscreen keyboard? and some other weird stuff, the graphic equilizer dosent seem to change key/pitch though and neither does anything else.
 
Did you check the "apply karoake" box?

EDIT: try a different site for pic hosting, like www.imageshack.us; your pics are so small you can't see anything. Probably due to the size limit at yahoo. Maybe I missed it and theres an option to enlarge the pic?
 
Assuming you checked the apply karaoke box, you also checked the pitch box. If you did, then your problem is suprisingly similar to the one I had. Does it let you apply anything in the audio effects section? If not, then I had the exact same problem and reinstalling the creative software fixed it. Make sure you DO NOT download the Digital Rights Management for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 as thats what ruined it for me.

Karaoke is probably not what you want.

EDIT: sorry, I couldn't see the pitch control in the pic you hosted. I wouldn't have thought they would put general sound controls in the karaoke tab 😕

I also must have glazed over your comment that the equalizer wasn't what you wanted. I thought that's what you wanted and a google search wasn't coming up with results due to you not using the right term. I didn't know the A2 has pitch control.
 
Audigy 2 can effect changes in PITCH through the Karaoke function of the EAX console.

PITCH

Equalization has nothing to do with PITCH. It controls the intensity of frequency bands - usually used to adjust sound to room or transducer acoustics.

This guy is right, however my pitch control is greyed out and i HAVE definately checked the box that should allow me to fiddle with it. I dunno why it wont let me move the pitch.... Any ideas? Perhaps some other setting somwhere i need to change?
 
I would try uninstalling, removing, then reinstalling. It may be one of the installation options.
 
I only have the Audio Console and Mixer installed these days (the latter not being necessary but more ergonomic than Windows') but if I recall, MediaSource is required for such effect tools as pitch 'n' scaling 'n' such.
