Can an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro do this specific resolution (1680 x 1050)?

I currently use a Dell P991 19 inch 4:3 monitor with an ATI 9700 Pro (Catalyst 6.2).

Just wondering if this video card will put out 1680 x 1050 if I get one of these new widescreen 20 inch monitors?

(interested in being able to output that resolution via VGA or DVI)
 
I currently don't see that option as a resolution in Catalyst Control Center.

I take it it won't show up till I hook up a widescreen display?
 
no it won't show up, but trust me, the 9700pro will display just dandy at that resolution. you won't play games well, but it has no problem displaying it otherwise
