Hmm My spidey sense tells me there is more to this story.. Did you or your BF somehow piss the old lady off and now she is trying to exact revenge?

Find the Manager and explain this to him in a calm way. I'm a former property manager, I had this exact problem and sent the accused tennant a copy of their lease with the noise line circled. Turns out it wasn't them, the lady upstairs was nuts. I did not send an eviction notice, that's a little crazy IMO.

We have never been late on one single payment in the 10 years we've been here! The letter says that if we don't stop the noise, we will be evicted. What is scarey is that we have no control over the noise because it's just going to continue. I guess one problem is that the management company is a large corporate company that operates hundreds of complexes! Noone knows anyone personally.

Yes, I believe this lady is nuts too but if they only listen to poor little old granny, how can we get our side in? Ya know, there's enough to worry about in life without something imagined by a crazy old woman to worry about!!!!!:disgust:
I'm sure there must be someone on site you can speak with. If not, call the place and explain your side of the story, ask them why they sent you an eviction notice. Be nice and polite, it's very important. Bottom line is they can't do anything to you without proof, unless more than one person is complaining specifically about you guys, or unless there are other issues involved that we don't know about. Also realize that the management wants you to stay. They know you pay on time and it saves them the trouble of finding a new tennant who may not apy on time.

Well I certainly hope they need more proof than this lady's word and NO, there is absolutely nothing else that is going on here. Like I said, I'm 43 and my BF is 50...we are totally "to ourselves people" and don't have kids or anything to bother anyone, no dogs...nothing. OK, maybe we are parking in her favorite parking spot? Maybe she wants us out so she can get her friend in our apartment? Who knows? But we have been living here for years and noone has had a complaint against us!

Thanks for the help!
