This is just for a little research I am doing, after the poll closes I'll tell anyone whose interested a bit more about it.

The polling question:

Can the members of a species, an ecosystem, or another grouping of multiple organisms have a unified spiritual soul?

Be more specific, please.

So, you're asking if every ant in the world is connected by one universal soul, every organism in a prarie connected by the same, as with every single being in the world?

WTF is a soul? I say "NO it makes no sense..." because we have yet to identify and verify the existence of a soul, much less define who has one.

On second thought I probably should have said "I'm not sure". Can I take my vote back?

QFT

Like are we talking about a hive mind sort of thing? Many creatures with one purpose? or one soul controlling the creatures?

Option not on poll:
Soul is a human concept for something that does not truly exist.

Unless you practice Hinduism, Pantheism, some sects of Buddhism... the answer would be no.

Voted option 1, because there is no such thing as a soul.

Now, if there were a soul, that might be different.

I voted no because, yes, I believe we have souls, but I don't think its possibly that we coud all share some kind of mother soul. Unless we were zombies ;)

Being that there are single celled organisms (ameoba), and multicellular organisms with "souls" (by soul I assume you mean consciousness) (human), I'd say the answer is yes.
