I'm making some CDs to give out to customers and I want to make sure even older computers can read them. TIA

Most drives don't have an issue with reading them, as long as they're capable of reading CD-Rs in general. You should be fine.

Are you talking mode-1 or mode-2? Mode-2 should not be a problem. Mode-1 may be a problem. A 80 minute CD holds approximately 700mb mode-1 or approximately 800mb mode-2. A 90 minute CD holds approximately 800mb mode-1 or 875mb mode-2. If you are using 90 minute CDs I suggest you look at: http://www.feurio.com/English/Writerdb/list_ide.shtml

There is no ISO specification for 90 and 99 minute CDs therefore you cannot expect every CD reader, burner, or DVD player to read them.
