I'm using an abit BX6 rev 2 board, and am stuck with a 2x AGP slot. I am currently running a radeon 32MB DDR card in the agp slot at 2x, and I was thinking of upgrading to a geforce3 ti 200 agp card. Just wanted to make sure that it would still be compatible as a lot of the cards fail to say that they are 4x/2x anymore. Also, can someone tell me how well this card would accept an increase in my BUS speed if I choose to overclock my FSB to 133Mhz? thanks!

ok heres the answer without the unecessary bull$hit:

YES. in most cases a mere jumper must be changed but liked IDE133 n stuff, AGP 4x is fully compatible with its predecessors.

for example, ATI Radeon 8500 is:
AGP 2.0 Compliant BUS - AGP 2X (3.3V), AGP 4X (1.5V), or AGP2X/4X based systems

always check the spec first before buying any new hardware.

"The only thing unneccessary around here is your foul mouth?"

Whatever.... sounds a little hypersensitive to me. This ain't the FCC around here.

You may run into problems using a 2X mobo with a 4X card. It's certainly possible, but I would recommend getting a new mobo before using a 4X card.
