Can a WRT54G in bridge mode talk to a Wifi card?

I have an Ethernet-ready media player (MediaMVP). I understand that I need a WiFi device such as WRT54G that works in bridge mode to wirelessly connected it to a PC.

My question is: Will that WRT54G communicate with a WiFi card/USB adapter in the remote PC? Or do I need another access point (like another WRT54G) to make them talk?

Thanks for any help. I do not have any Wi-Fi experience. Yet. :)

yeah, you need two wifi routers. Although it is possible to configure a PC with a wifi card to act like an access point, it is not really a great solution because it will not be as flexible as a dedicated router, and you'll have to keep that PC running all the time. But it can be done. For the remote device (the media player) you will need a router operating as a wireless ethernet bridge.
