I have 2 computers: WinXP Pro and a Mac laptop (not OS X). I also have 2 USB only printers: Samsung ML-1710 laser and a Lexmark X83 all-in-one. currently, the Samsung printer is connected to the WinXP Pro computer, the Lexmark connected to the Mac, and both computers share my cable internet connection through a D-Link 614+ router.

while both computers work well individually, they currently don't share anything aside from the internet connection. sharing the printers is most important, but sharing files would be nice too. any help is appreciated.

thanks.

I cant' see why not. Both OSs support TCP/IP, so sharing the printers wouldn't be a problem. However, it may be worth looking at this or some other similar software. They make it simple.

thanks, Zucarita9000. that software is too pricey for my tastes, but I'll work on the TCP/IP avenue. too bad I don't know 1/10 as much about Macs as I do about PCs...
