Can a vehicle be considered a family heirloom?

The truck I'm getting from my dad was originally bought brand new in 1974 in Arizona by my uncle. My uncle and my dad (mostly my uncle) drove it hundreds of thousands of miles back and forthacross the country, until eventually my uncle gave it to my dad around 1993. Now my dad is giving it to me, and I plan on restoring it, so I see no reason it won't be around when my kids are growing up. It may not be an hierloom, but it's certainly got a certain sense of sentamentaliy attached to it.

My pappy had this camaro, and his pappy had it before he did. God willing, one day junior will drive it too.

I guess you could call it an heirloom, but it just sounds funny for some reason.

A friend of mine's family owns a fleet of cadillacs. We call it a fleet, but it's only 3 of them, all from around the mid seventies. His family got them brand new. They look like so much ass now though.
