Is it possible for a vcr to function as a cable box, since the tv I got has not tuner and If in the future, I just wanted to clarify this. If I use my vcr through composite and then is it possible for the vcr to be a cable tuner?

Yeah, my in-laws threw out a perfectly good 32" tube TV because the tuner was broken.

I told them a $15 VCR would have fixed them right up, they gave me a blank stare, I shut up.

Would have made a great console gaming TV for me. :(

Yeah, it's pretty nice for a VCR. It also has commercial skip. I dunno how well it works though as I've never actually recorded anything with it.
