Can a USB flash drive be reformatted from FAT32 to NTFS?

Title says it all.

And if the answer is yes, how easy is it to do it?

If it matters, the drive in question is a 16GB Corsair Flash Voyager. It's FAT32 outta the box.

I looked into this and found out it isn't a good idea. You have to disable some stuff in Windows to do with plug and play. If you don't and just pull the NTFS drive out without "stopping" it, then you can cause problems or something along those lines.

Official version here.

Sure, as long as you remember to unmount it properly before pulling it. And there might be a little extra wear on the drive because NTFS is journaled.

Yeah, formatting it is not a problem, you just have to remember to "safely" remove the usb drive.
