Can a system selector switch be used in reverse?

I want to be able to toggle my 360 between my 32" LCD near my bed, or to one of the LCDs on my desk, without having to repeatedly unplug cables. Is this possible? Any suggestions for switches?
 
As long as you use a strictly mechanical switch, there's no reason it shouldn't work. GameStop and Walmart sell (or at least, used to sell) ~$20 4-way switches for game systems, which should work for your purpose.
